Sanctuary Cove is one of those venues that gives you options without needing to overthink it.

There are so many different spaces to work with, each with really beautiful light and clean backgrounds, which makes a big difference when it comes to portraits.

It also means everything can happen in one place, from getting ready through to ceremony and reception, without the day feeling broken up.

THE FEELING OF A RESORT WEDDING

There’s an ease to a resort wedding at Sanctuary Cove.

Everything happens in one place.

There’s no rush to move between locations.

The day feels slower, more connected.

It allows space, for moments, for conversation, for everything to settle into itself.

The shoot

For this shoot, we worked with two gowns from Helena Couture, each with a very different feel, but both stunning in their own way.

One more structured and refined, the other softer and more fluid, which gave us room to shift the tone without changing the setting.

The suiting from Urbbana brought something distinctive. It felt considered, slightly fashion-led, and added contrast in a way that worked really well against the space.

Florals were clean and intentional, and we paired it with two different hair and makeup looks to create variation across the gallery without losing cohesion.

approach

I kept everything pretty simple on the day.

Nothing over-directed—just small adjustments where needed and letting things come together naturally.

When the light and the setting are already doing what they need to do, you don’t need to add much.
